About Offas Dyke

Offa’s Dyke Path is a 177 mile (285 Km) long walking trail. It is named after, and often follows, the spectacular Dyke King Offa ordered to be constructed in the 8th century, probably to divide his Kingdom of Mercia from rival kingdoms in what is now Wales.

Hillcrest is a short walk from the Offas Dyke path in Trevor. Just an 8min walk from Trevor Basin (you wont need a pick up and drop off service) via The Telford Inn and Pontcysyllte Chapel Tearooms up a slight incline. You will also pass a small local Premier store in the housing estate to your left to pick up any supplies. Once you reach the main A539, take a right. In 150 yeards you will see 4 black and white terrace houses on your left. Hillcrest is in the middle clearly marked with a slate sign.

Hillcrest is listed on the National Trails website under Trail Accommodation.
